Quality in Engineering Support
Production at KI is supported by
a well-rounded staff of experienced engineers who are
specialists in their fields. The latest CAD/CAM systems are used
to provide design and process solutions for a wide variety of
customer-specified designs. The three major elements of KI's
engineering section are product design, manufacturing
engineering, and tool design. Product design works closely with
each customer to develop parts which will perform as specified.
Manufacturing engineers develop
their production process required to form the parts to the
customers' requirements. They select appropriate production
machines and tools. Additionally, they determine the process
specifications. Tool design, in collaboration with the product
design and manufacturing engineering staff, designs and
fabricates the required tools and dies. All of these engineering
functions performed with equal concern given to product
performance, quality and cost effectiveness. |
